CREA WEB — Hometown Jinju Feature (Seonghwa)
For a CREA feature tracing each ATEEZ member's hometown roots, Seonghwa discussed growing up in Jinju, a centuries-old city in South Gyeongsang Province.
Seonghwa on Jinju — English Translation
My hometown is the old city of Jinju. The lantern festival's night view is beautiful.
Hearing that Seonghwa, whose elegant bearing leaves such an impression, comes from Jinju — a city in southern Korea that has stood since the Goryeo dynasty — you can't help but nod in understanding.
"Just as Seoul has the Han River, my hometown of Jinju has a large river called the Nam River. Every October, a big festival called the Jinju Namgang Yudeung (Lantern) Festival is held, and the sight of colorful lanterns floating on the slow-moving river is really fantastical. The night view is even more beautiful."
When asked about the latest Korean culture spots, true to Seonghwa — known for his gentle nature and called "ATEEZ's mom" — he thought carefully and shared an interesting story instead.
"I've never used it myself, but Korean amusement parks have a service that rents out school uniforms. Apparently Korean couples wear rented uniforms on amusement-park dates to make memories that feel like their school days."
